The Growing Communities Program is a fund set up to assist communities in the north central region to “grow” community economic development initiatives.
Community Futures North Central Development (CFNCD) will contribute up to $2,500 per community for project start-up or expansion. A community can access the fund more than once.
Eligible projects are those that add to the general well-being of a community while stimulating economic growth. Examples could be:
Urban Industrial Communities, First Nations, Community Councils, non-profit groups and schools in the region are welcome to apply.
The application process is simple. Fill out the application form below and submit to a Development Officer at CFNCD.
The CDC Committee will review applications. If a project is awarded funding, a Development Officer will be assigned to the project and the applicant will be given an initial payment of 90% of the approved amount.
Once the project is complete, the applicant must submit a brief final report with photographs. The applicant will then receive the 10% holdback.
You can apply at any time. This pilot project will run during the fiscal year (April 1st, 2010 – March 31st, 2011).
